PHD FEATURED PLAYER OF THE WEEK IS BACK! This week Featured Player of the Week: Alyssa Teixeira : Newton North High School . One of the top liberos in the Commonwealth, Teixeira has been a staple at many of our positional clinics , tryout prep camps and small group training, making her not only a top serve receiver and defender , but also an extremely valuable attacker as demonstrated during last club season. One of the best people and hardest workers we’ve had the privilege to work with , we first began coaching Alyssa in middle school and have seen how her hard work has paid off. Anchoring a strong serve receive , Teixeira lead the Tigers to a win over crosstown rival Newton South , passing a 2.21 and posting a career high 24 digs! We wish our friends from Newton North Girls Volleyball, AT and Coach Nile Fox the best in the rest of their regular season!

PHD X SMASH COLLAB! After a great clinic, we are RUNNING IT BACK with a COLLAB on Monday October 12! This is an ELITE SKILLS TRAINING SESSION with the top coaches from BOTH Smash and PHD at Newton South High School. Registration is live at www.smashvolleyball.com .

HISTORY WAS MADE IN 2025 IN MIAA ATHLETICS AS 4 TEAMS FROM THE SAME CONFERENCE WENT TO THE FINAL 4. That had never happened in ANY SPORT in the history of Massachusetts Interscholastic Athletics. The following year, those same 4 teams went to the FINAL 4 AGAIN. Shoutout to the best volleyball conference in New England- the Bay State Conference , and shoutout to Newton North, Needham, Brookline and Natick for that feat ! Those 4 teams have also been staples in the SMASH PHD NEW ENGLAND SUPERLEAGUE. They are LOCKED IN for the 2026 SUPERLEAGUE , which begins in under 2 weeks . Space is filling up fast . FIRST EVER DEERFIELD ACADEMY AND BB AND N SCHOOL TEAM CAMP IN THE BOOKS! It was amazing coaching two of the strongest programs in the NEPSAC this past week! Shoutout to DEERFIELD who had players from China, Cali, Oregon, NYC and Rhode Island stay the week to get in the lab with PHD VOLLEYBALL. And huge shoutout to the ISL POWERHOUSE OF BB AND N who may just have the best team in the COMMONWEALTH. It was great to reconnect with so many of the elite players BB AND N we’ve had the privilege to work with over the years and also meet a few new faces ! Thanks to both programs for getting in the lab, getting better , and putting in the work this week! That’s a wrap on SUMMER 2026! Thanks to both of these NEPSAC POWERHOUSES for helping us finish this summer the right way 💪🏼.

NEEDHAM GIRLS PROGRAM CAMP/ GIRLS TRYOUT PREP (second location due to Sudbury selling out ) went BIG last week! Big shoutout to Needham Girls Volleyball who were our OG team camp back in 2016 and have been believing and training with us from the jump of PhD ! We feel the love and hopefully you felt it back! Good luck to one of the best and most storied programs in the Commonwealth! Sustained excellence is not easy and we are grateful we can be a small part of it ! Good luck to NGVB with tryouts tomorrow and everyone who is trying out today- go crush it !

GIRLS TRYOUT PREP 2026 is in the books! One of the first camps we ever ran in 2015, we had a SOLD OUT week with a second location and athletes from over 25 different schools attend ! Thanks to everyone who showed up, worked hard and got in the lab with our amazing coaching staff this past week! We are back at it with Girls Tryout Prep Extension today and and tomorrow !
