HORSE TRAINING TIP

Some of the best training you can do doesn't happen in the saddle.

Leading quietly.

Standing tied.

Backing up.

Moving their feet when asked.

Picking up feet.

Standing calmly while being groomed.

These everyday skills can make a huge difference when you're out riding or dealing with something unexpected.

What's one ground exercise that has helped your horse the most?

Real-life horse owner question:

How often are you actually grooming your horse?

Every day?

Before every ride?

Or whenever you realize they've become approximately 90% dirt? 😂

There isn't one perfect answer for every horse, but regular grooming is a great opportunity to check their coat, skin, legs, and feet while spending some one-on-one time together.

For me, it's the little things that you don't think about until you need them.

A hoof pick.

Extra lead rope.

Phone.

Water.

Something for rain.

And of course… a horse that has decided the mailbox is trying to kill us. 😂
