🔥 TODAY’S MILES DIDN’T GO VERY FAR... BUT THEY STILL COUNT. 🔥

Today was one of those days where I just bounced from one thing to the next around the campground.

🌳 Cleaned up some branches.

🎸 Changed out the band sign.

🪑 Put up picnic tables so mowing can get done.

🏕️ Came back and cleaned up my campsite.

🧹 Even got some cleaning done inside the camper.

Nothing earth-shattering.

Nothing worthy of some dramatic motivational speech. 😂

Just s**t that needed to get done... getting done.

And now?

Feet up.

Controller in hand.

Forza on the screen. 🎮

Sometimes that's the whole damn day.

Work.

Handle your responsibilities.

Take care of your little corner of the world.

Then shut everything else off for a while and enjoy yourself.

Tomorrow we'll get back after it.

Tonight, I'm racing imaginary cars entirely too fast while moving approximately zero miles. 😂🏎️💨

Halloween weekend at the campground...

Let's just say security stayed VERY busy tonight, the Sheriff's Department got to spend some quality time with us, and more than one person discovered that when you're told it's time to call it a night...

It's probably time to call it a night. 😂🚔

There are definitely some stories from tonight that are better left OFF Facebook. 🤣

But the crew handled business, everybody made it through, and I've got yet another story for the collection.

🇺🇸 WE REMEMBER. 🇺🇸

Some people would rather forget.

I won’t.

I remember September 11, 2001.

I remember the lives that were lost.
I remember the firefighters, police officers, paramedics, first responders, service members, and ordinary Americans who ran toward danger when every instinct told them to run away.

But I remember something else, too.

I remember what happened afterward.

For a little while, America stopped asking what color you were.
Nobody cared how much money you made.
Nobody cared whether you were Republican or Democrat.
Nobody cared what neighborhood you came from, what job you had, or what social class somebody decided you belonged to.

We were Americans.

Neighbors helped neighbors.
Strangers helped strangers.
Flags flew from houses, trucks, businesses, bridges, and front porches.

We mourned together.

We stood together.

For one terrible moment in our history, we were reminded that the things dividing us were nowhere near as important as the things connecting us.

25 years later, I think that part deserves remembering too.

Remember the innocent people who never made it home.

Remember the heroes who gave everything.

Remember the families whose lives changed forever.

And remember the America that stood up afterward.

An America that, even if only for a while, remembered how to be one nation.
