Our semi-final run came to an end today in a close 1-2 match against Morton United. The team worked hard and fought until the final whistle.

Proud of the effort and sportsmanship shown all weekend long. 💙💛

Day 1 of the Quad City Shootout is in the books, and Sterling United U14 finished on top of Bracket A as the #1 seed! ⚽🔥

Day 1 Recaps:

⚽Game 1: 2-0 shut-out win over East Moline Silvis SC Panthers Black

⚽Game 2: Hard-fought 3-1 match against North Scott SC

🎉Thanks to our head-to-head win over East Moline, we secured 1st place in our bracket!

While we’re proud of how the team fought today, our hearts are with one of our teammates, who went down near the end of Game 1 with a broken wrist. We are going to miss having him out on the pitch with us tomorrow, but the whole team is playing for him in Day 2! Send him all your healing vibes and positive thoughts for a quick recovery! 🙏💪

We move on to the Semi-Finals tomorrow morning to face Morton United FC U14 Boys RED!

What a weekend for Sterling United U14!
Our team battled through three tough games at the 2026 Schaumburg SoccerFest and finished the tournament UNDEFEATED, earning a 2nd-place finish! 🏆💙💛

⚽ Sterling United 4 – 1 Chicago Powerstrikers
⚽ Sterling United 3 – 3 Legion FC Chicago U15
⚽ Sterling United 0 – 0 PSG City U15 Boys Pre Academy

Finishing the weekend 1 win, 2 draws, and ZERO losses is something to be proud of — especially competing against strong teams and older U15 competition.

The team showed toughness, teamwork, and determination from the opening whistle Saturday morning through the final whistle Sunday.

The team kicked off the tournament with a huge 4–1 WIN over Chicago Powerstrikers! 💪⚽️

They followed that up with an exciting, hard-fought 3–3 DRAW against Legion FC Chicago U15!

That puts Sterling at 1 WIN • 1 DRAW • 0 LOSSES heading into today’s final scheduled game! 🔥
