Lake Shore Sail Club The best sailing club value on Lake St. Clair! LSSC is a family-friendly racing and social club.

The LSSC racing program includes ten Sunday and Special races for club members and the very popular Wednesday night Spring and Summer Sunset Series which attracts many of the area's avid racing boats. In addition, LSSC hosts "The Inter-Club Team Championship Race" which is open to all DRYA yacht clubs. Although we don't have a clubhouse, LSSC provides numerous opportunities for socializing. Our cruising program consists of at least three summer cruises to area ports and features group breakfasts, cocktail parties and barbecues. Off-season activities include a fall steak roast (hosted by our past commodores), several weekend social outings and the formal event of the year, the Commodore's Ball. Today's Jack & Jill race wasn't the "ch*****ne sailing" we hoped for, but at least the rain let up a bit during the race and the wind didn't get too gnarly until we were at the BBQ. Hats off to all the hardy couples that came out to race!!

Thank you RC Mark Bowery for filling in as committee boat for this make-up race and for a great season as the post-race grill master. 🍔🌭 And thanks to PC Dan Guendelsberger for doing the results for all our weekend Club races. 🤓

Great turnout last night! Our annual Sunset Series Awards Party is always one of the highlights of the year and our opportunity to thank all of the sailors that choose to spent their Wednesday evenings on the water with us and the volunteers that make it possible. Another great night to close out our Sunset Series races! We were fortunate to get in all 12 races this year. Class and Overall results for the Summer Series are now posted on the website.

Our end of season party to celebrate and thank the skippers, crew and race committee is next Wednesday night at the St. Clair Shores KofC. Free pizza and soda, b**r and w**e. Oh, and some flags may be awarded. ☺️ Hope to see all our Sunset Series racers there!

As our Sunset Series is winding down, we wanted to take a moment to thank Great Lakes Yacht Club for letting us use their clubhouse on Wednesday nights.🙏 We'd also like to thank Just Good Chefs for the food service 🍔 and Dragonmead Brewery for the b**r! 🍺

Hats off to all the strong 💪 ladies of LSSC that braved the sporty conditions yesterday to compete for the coveted Marge Rousseau Memorial Petticoat Trophy!
