New single origin brewing at Dusky! Say hi to Burundi Akeza! Burundian coffee’s have a distinct intense fruit flavor and syrupy sweetness that make it a fan favorite. Look for tasting notes of baking spice, blackberry and danish.

For those unfamiliar, Burundi is one of the world’s poorest countries and has been in the midst of civil unrest for the last 12 years. Located in the mountainous region between The Republic of Congo and Tanzania, Burundi is known to be favorable for coffee production because of altitude, nutrient-rich volcanic soil and high rainfall levels.

Steamboat Little Givers has another fun project this month! Join us (all ages) next Sunday, 9/20 from 10-12pm to craft and bake for our friends at Routt County Humane Society . We will be making cat hideaways, cat toys, baking some yummy dog treats and collecting wish-list needs. Drop off goods any time this month! See you on Sunday!

Highlighting a fan favorite today! Collie has been quietly leading dusky for the last 2.5 years and is departing for New York at the end of the month… as sad as Dusky and the entire Steamboat community is, we couldn’t be more excited and proud of them. Our favorite thing about Collie is the team leadership she has taken on, while also upping our training program for incoming newbie baristas. She is one of the most authentic humans in existence and as many of you know, the magical affect of authentic people is that they unintentionally give us all the space to be our true selves. it’s refreshing, comforting and so freaking empowering. The permanent mark (shall we call it a legacy?) that collie has left on our once-little shop is beyond words. We’re going to miss you and WE LOVE YOU!

Team highlight!!! Daphne’s last day for the summer was a couple days ago but we HAD to highlight her! This incredible girl has been baking seasonally for us for three years (omg where has the time gone?!) and is the talent behind all those delicious scones and muffins 🥰. Our favorite thing about Daphne is her ability to get things done, no questions asked. Whether we have a random day selling out of breakfast cookies by 8am or we just run out of sugar (it happens…), she’s there making decisions and moving forward. We love that she’s getting her education abroad in Ireland and look forward to having her back over the holidays! Thanks for an awesome summer, Daphne!
