We were proud to donate backpacks and school supplies to backpack giveaway events by Catholic Charities of Staten Island and the International Christian Center, and brought shelf-stable food from Met Council to support families in need at The Jewish Board's back-to-school event.

Please join us as we come together for a 25th Anniversary Remembrance to honor the heroes who served on 9/11.

We recently had the opportunity to participate in the Help Bag Hunger event hosted by the Mannix Family at Shop Rite. Our Food Pantry Manager, Steven, broke records with his shopping cart run, earning a thousand dollars in gift cards that will be distributed to our Food Pantry clients in need. We are grateful to the Mannix Family for their generosity in helping us fight food insecurity in our community!

We recently welcomed campers from our JCC Cornerstone Community Camp at Richmond Terrace to our Stapleton Older Adult Center! Our campers, staff, and participants had a great day making arts and crafts.

At the JCC, we are proud to create opportunities for our whole community, from the youngest campers to our cherished older adults, to connect, create, and belong together through our intergenerational programming funded by UJA-Federation of New York.

Gerard Carbonella was born and raised on Staten Island and is currently a resident of New Jersey. A graduate of St. Joseph by-the-Sea High School, he went on to earn his bachelor's degree from Pace University. After spending several years building his expertise at both mid-sized and Big Six accounting firms, Gerard founded his own successful public accounting practice in 2003.

Throughout his career, Gerard has remained deeply committed to community service and civic engagement. He has served on several not-for-profit boards, including the Staten Island Chamber of Commerce, contributing his leadership and professional expertise to organizations dedicated to strengthening the community.

Family has always been at the center of Gerard's life. He and his wife have been happily married for 32 years and have raised four wonderful children, all of whom are now pursuing their own lives and careers. In March, they received what Gerard describes as life's greatest blessing: the arrival of their first grandchild, bringing a new and special joy to their growing family.

David has lived on the island his entire life, having graduated from Pace University with a bachelor's degree in Business Management. David is the son of founder Bob Cutrona of Project-One Services Inc., a company started in 1980 in janitorial services, soon expanded into post-construction cleaning, large company carpet cleaning, and stripping and waxing floors. David was a major addition for the company, having started working at Project-One when he was 13 years old and came aboard full-time after graduating from college, now serving as President. His other business interests are real estate development and management. Through the years, he has helped start and run several other local businesses, and enjoys skiing, athletics and the great outdoors. In his spare time, he enjoys traveling with family and friends.

As of late, his favorite thing is spending time with his 9 month old granddaughter. David supports other local non-profits besides the JCC and Sunrise Day Camp; such as the Echo Organization, the Seaman's Society, Eden II, and Tunnel to Towers.
