Calling all Middle School Girl Parents!
Here at Wellness in Motion we are building resilience in and out of the studio. The FUNctional Fitness series offers a place to learn the fundamentals of structured strength training, but in a fun and age appropriate way. We dance, we lift, we share our wins and we do it all with the focus of building strong bodies and confidence.
Our next session begins this Thursday, September 17th, and we are holding a space for your middle schooler! Details in the bio and linked in the comments.

Do my part to fight the back to school shenanigans by soaking in all the slow summer mornings

Time on my mat has taught me that even though so many of the events in my life are out of my control, I can control my breath. My breath can be the difference in how I show up in times of stress, grief, challenge, and discomfort.
As a side note, take a deep breath, and then tell your friends you love them. Make it weird. It’s important. Don’t just believe that they already know. ✌🏼

Hormones absolutely have their a role, and probably deserve a big share of the blame, AND... lifestyle still matters.
- consistent bedtime > doom scrolling
- balanced meals > skipping meals
- after dinner walks > netfilx & chill
- lifting heavy > endless cardio
- spending time with family & friends > online time
- taking time to rest > doing it all
Listen, both can be true: your hormones can be out of whack and your lifestyle less than supportive. The thing is, we often have more control over our day to day activities than of our hormones. Creating a lifestyle that supports our hormones in something we can do. Every effort counts!
