The Woodie Classic is BACK for its 5th year as part of the celebration of Forest Park’s 150th Anniversary!

Join us at Dwight Davis Memorial Tennis Center in beautiful Forest Park for one of the most fun tennis events of the summer — a doubles-only tournament played with wooden rackets, followed by a patio party with live music, food, drinks, and great company. Presented in partnership with Racketman, proceeds benefit local youth tennis programs through USTA St. Louis.

All levels are welcome, and any doubles pairing works:
Men’s, women’s, mixed, co-ed — spouses, friends, family (parents/kids/grandparents) — everyone is invited.

Player registration includes:
• 3 guaranteed matches
• Live music by Chase and Emilie of Sweetie & the Toothaches
• Dinner and party
• A Woodie Classic shirt

IMPORTANT: This event filled up last year and registration is first come, first served — sign up early before spots are gone.

Wooden rackets are available if you need one. Vintage tennis attire is encouraged (not required).

We’re excited to share that DWIGHT DAVIS MEMORIAL TENNIS CENTER is now PARTIALLY REOPEN FOR PLAY!

All 4 dedicated PICKLEBALL COURTS and 12 TENNIS COURTS are OPEN. We expect the remaining 6 tennis courts to reopen within the next week, hopefully even sooner.

Recovery efforts are still underway, and there’s more work to come. But with the support of this incredible community, we’re confident we’ll get there.

We also recognize that many in our CITY are facing even greater challenges right now, and our hearts are with them.

In the days ahead, we’ll be sharing more information on HOW YOU CAN HELP DWIGHT as we continue rebuilding.

Right after the tornado tore through the area, our team found this injured red-tailed hawk lying on Court 4 at
Dwight Davis Memorial Tennis Center. His right wing looked broken. In the middle of dealing with all the damage and confusion, they paused everything to make sure this sweet bird was rescued. We are so grateful to the World Bird Sanctuary for coming to help so quickly.

Dwight Davis Tennis Center is TEMPORARILY CLOSED due to tornadic storm damage sustained on May 16. Forest park is also closed for safety reasons and to allow for cleanup efforts. Many trees are down throughout the park, and others are still at risk of falling before crews can get to them.
