RHP Peter Strzelecki (Right Forearm) 15-day IL, retroactive to Aug 26. Marmol believes that he will be "back soon". Expected Return: TBD.

OF Everson Pereira (Left Hand Contusion): 15-day IL. Placed on the IL after getting hit by a 96 mph pitch on Aug 21. Marmol described Pereiras reovery as "Making progress." Expected return still TBD.

RHP Hunter Dobbins (Right Flexor Strain): 15-day IL. Placed on the IL following an early exit in Philadelphia; undergoing full evaluation back home.

RHP Andre Pallante (Right Elbow Inflammation): 15-day IL. Retroactive to Aug 18. Manager Oliver Marmol noted he is "not concerned" about long-term severity.

RHP MAx Rjcic (UCL) 60-day IL, retroactive to July 4. Last update was July 24th. No return expected date.

Status: Missed four straight starts after injuring his thumb sliding on Aug. 19. Tests were negative, and he briefly returned as a defensive replacement in the 10th inning on Aug. 21. He will undergo further evaluation back in St. Louis.

Cardinals Battle in Philly & Injury Updates
The Cardinals have had a whirlwind week, wrapping up a dramatic series win against the Reds—highlighted by a wild six-run 9th-inning comeback finale on August 20 to take the set—before heading straight to Citizens Bank Park to open a weekend set against the Philadelphia Phillies.

Tough Extra-Inning Opener: The Redbirds fought hard on Friday night but dropped a tight 7–6 decision in 10 innings to the Phillies.

Injury & Roster Front: It’s been a tough stretch for the pitching staff. Andre Pallante hit the 15-day IL with right elbow inflammation (backdated to August 18), and starter Hunter Dobbins exited Friday's game early due to right forearm discomfort. To help cover the pitching staff, right-hander Ryan Fernandez was recalled from Triple-A Memphis, and Quinn Mathews is stepping into the rotation. Meanwhile, Everson Pereira was also shaken up after getting hit in the hand by a pitch.

Minor League Depth Signings: Looking to bolster upper-level organizational depth for the stretch run, the Cardinals recently signed left-hander Josh Fleming and utility man Bligh Madris to minor league contracts, assigning both to Triple-A Memphis.

The St. Louis Cardinals closed out their series at Wrigley Field in dominant fashion on Sunday afternoon, defeating the Chicago Cubs 11-4 to take two out of three games.

The Offensive Explosion: Alec Burleson and Jordan Walker led the charge, each finishing with three hits and four RBIs. Burleson crushed his 21st home run of the season in the first inning—homering in consecutive games to tie his career high.
