I dont remember who was saying that O’Brien was a TOP 5 closer in baseball a few days ago.

I said he was top 10 at best, hopefully they aren't in a puddle somewhere.

66-66 30 games left, even with a light schedule, it's going to be am ABSOLUTE limp to the finish.

The top prospects really need to turn out, and the purse strings need loosened a bit moving forward.

This move says a few things. Gorman & Scott II aren't guys that STL is looking to call up. While they may be faring better in AAA, and may end up being back in the big leagues someday, I'd guess it isn't with the Cardinals. I'm guessing they get traded over the off-season for a bullpen arm or by a team who wants a potential lottery ticket. The runway for those two players in St. Louis has come to an end.

I would assume we see either Mautz or Hjerpe up for Dobbins and Scott II (who's hitting .311 in August) for Periera.

I like Gastelum, I really do, but he catches so much of the plate with pitches when he's way ahead in the count. He HAS to be able to set up his pitches better.

Cards lose a game I thought they'd lose, but the way they lost didn't go at all how I thought it would. If they lost Hunter Dobbins as well, it could prove to be the worst loss of the season. Two starters on the same day when pitcher health had been such a key to success
