If you've ever wished scuba diving could be as relaxing as floating down a lazy river... this might be your dream dive.
Our newest Scuba Diving the US video takes you to Rainbow River in Dunnellon, Florida, where crystal-clear spring water, a gentle current, and incredible visibility make for one of the easiest—and most enjoyable—dives we've ever done.
With a maximum depth of only about 20 feet and water temperatures around 74° year-round, Rainbow River is perfect for:
🐢 Newly certified divers
🤿 Anyone looking to refresh their skills
💙 Divers who just want to relax and enjoy the scenery
A few things you'll want to know before you go:
✔️ Reserve the water taxi ahead of time.
✔️ Bring a dive flag float (one is required for each dive group).
✔️ Don't forget a waterproof box for your car key.
✔️ And maybe pay really close attention when the water taxi driver tells you where to get out... unless you enjoy long walks carrying scuba gear. 😅

Rainbow River probably isn't somewhere we'd spend an entire week diving, but it's the perfect addition to a Florida freshwater dive trip. Pair it with Blue Grotto, Devil's Den, Ginnie Springs, and a few other nearby sites, and you've got an incredible dive vacation.

Some davs there are no words 💙
When I signed up for the Mote Laboratorv citizen scientist Key Largo dives, I didn't know what to expect. I knew our reefs were in decline, but how do you really know what's going on if you're not a scientist?
Seeing firsthand the work being done to return our reefs to their former glory was absolutely incredible. The ladies at Mote Lab and Islamorada Dive Center were exceptional in every way. I highly recommend checking out this program and participating if you can
Our reefs do so much more than iust hide the ocean creatures we're searching for on dives. Let's all help thrive once more 🪸
