One of the simplest accommodations I use for ADHD isn’t an expensive app or a complicated productivity system.
It’s a checklist.
People often assume ADHD is about not knowing what needs to be done. For many of us, that’s not the challenge.
The challenge is:
✔️ Did I remember?
✔️ Did my brain switch to the task when I needed it to?
✔️ Did I lose track of time?
✔️ Did I get distracted halfway through?
A checklist takes some of the mental load off your brain. Instead of relying on working memory, you rely on a trusted system.
I have checklists for:
• Morning routines
• Bedtime routines
• Travel packing
• Client onboarding
• Speaking engagements
• Grocery shopping
• Event planning
It’s not about being rigid. It’s about giving your brain one less thing to hold onto.
Whether you’re neurodivergent or simply juggling a lot, checklists can reduce stress, improve consistency, and free up mental energy for the work that really matters.
What’s one area of your life that could benefit from a simple checklist?
Neurodiversity isn’t a workplace trend. It’s already in your workplace.
The question is whether your workplace was designed for neurodivergent employees to thrive.
Your team may include employees with ADHD, autism, dyslexia, anxiety, or other differences in how they process information, communicate, organize work, and navigate the workplace.
And sometimes what gets labeled as:
“Poor communication.”
“Not engaged.”
“Too sensitive.”
“Needs to be more organized.”
“Not leadership material.”
…may actually be a workplace that only recognizes one way of working as the right way.
At The Phoenix Group STL, I help organizations rethink that.
Through neurodiversity training, leadership development, workplace consulting, and fractional HR support, I work with organizations to create workplaces where differences aren’t simply accommodated—they’re understood and leveraged.
Here’s a question for HR and organizational leaders:
If a highly talented neurodivergent employee joined your organization tomorrow, would your workplace help them thrive—or require them to mask in order to succeed?
I’d love to hear your thoughts in the comments.
And if your organization is ready to have this conversation, I’m currently booking trainings, workshops, keynotes, and consulting engagements.

Another tool added to the toolbox. 🎓✨
I want to take a moment to highlight a certification I’ve held for the past year: my NeuroDiversity Coach Certification through IPHM.
For me, this certification isn’t about adding more letters to my name—it’s about continuing to strengthen the work I already do with leaders, teams, and organizations around workplace culture, belonging, neurodiversity, employee relations, and inclusive leadership.
Through The Phoenix Group STL, I help nonprofits, public-sector organizations, and mission-driven workplaces move beyond good intentions and create cultures where people can actually work, lead, communicate, and thrive differently.
My services include:
✨ Fractional HR support
✨ Workplace investigations
✨ Diversity, belonging & neurodiversity coaching
✨ Leadership and employee training
✨ Keynotes and workshops
✨ Employee relations and workplace culture strategy
Because creating a better workplace isn’t about checking a box. It’s about understanding people—and building systems that allow them to succeed.
If your organization is looking for an HR consultant, trainer, speaker, investigator, or diversity coach, let’s connect.
And if you know a nonprofit, public-sector leader, HR professional, or organization that could benefit from this work, tag them, share this post, or send them my way.
I’m accepting new clients and speaking opportunities for the remainder of 2026.
Let’s build workplaces where difference isn’t simply accommodated—it’s valued. ❤️🩵
