SPRINGFIELD, Vt. -- Springfield battled back to force overtime with a goal in the 74th minute tonight at Brown Field, but Woodstock managed to tack on the winning goal in overtime to secure a 2-1 victory.

The Cosmos goal came on a powerful free kick by Rowan Pilapil which bounced off Woodstock's goalie and was quickly passed in front of the net by Oliver Vandivere to Florian Miftari for the score.

Springfield heads to undefeated Twin Valley for its next contest on Tuesday at 6 p.m.

CONCORD, N.H. -- Some strong scores were achieved during yesterday's four-team match at Beaver Meadow Golf Course in Concord.

Mady Savory led Bishop Brady to victory by firing a 34 for 9 holes (2-under par).

Fall Mountain finished third behind a well-balanced attack that was paced by Perry Lent's 42. James Cheeney followed with a 44 and the next five Fall Mountain golfers carded either a 47 or 48.

Fall Mountain (5-4) heads to Angus Lea Golf Course for its next match on Monday against Hillsboro-Deering, Trinity, and Milford.

CLAREMONT, N.H. -- A late goal by Malachi Bactad earned Fall Mountain a 2-2 tie with Stevens on Tuesday night at Monadnock Park in Claremont. In a back-and-forth encounter, the Wildcats took the lead with ten minutes left in the first half when Brice Belden's effort on the weak side fell into the path of Maito Kishi, who tucked the ball away from close range.

Stevens tied the game from a corner kick with a minute remaining in the half, then took the lead midway through the second half after a period of sustained pressure. Fall Mountain had the last word, however, as Denis Cuascota sent in a ball to the back post for Bactad to steer into the net from six yards out.

Fall Mountain moves to 4-1-1 on the season after Tuesday's result. The Wildcats are back in action on Thursday night at home versus Bishop Brady at 5:00 PM.

GM Goals: Caden Spittle (3), JJ Davenport

Notes: Green Mountain earned its first victory of the season. The Grizzlies had yet to score a goal prior to today's contest, but Head Coach Jake Walker moved Caden Spittle from midfield to forward which seemed to give GM's offense the spark it needed. The Grizzlies controlled possession through much of the contest, leading to a 20-save effort from Otter Valley's Jonathan Johnson.

Green Mountain (1-3) faces Otter Valley again on Friday at 8 p.m. in the opening round of the Josh Cole Tournament at Dorsey Park in Ludlow. The winner will advance to the championship game on Saturday.
