Horseshoes & Hand Grenades - Rogier Pulling Team 9500 4.1 Limited Pro Stock, owned and campaigned by the Dale Rogier family. D&R built the motor, and the IH 1066 hit the track in August of 2013.

About our team: Dale Rogier has a long history in the sport of tractor pulling. Dale started pulling in the 1960's and was a competitor for 25 years, running the modified, super stock, and pro stock divisions before selling his tractor during the late 1980's. It was during this time that he joined the Board of Directors in the Illinois Tractor Pulling Association, and he continued to serve until his retirement in 2018. In early 2013, Dale decided to get back into the competitive side of the sport, and worked with D&R Pulling to acquire a tractor. In 2015, the team introduced a new look to the tractor, along with the name Horseshoes & Hand Grenades as a tribute to Dale and the many unique sayings he uses. It’s been a fun summer getting H&H back in the game. Michael drew #1 last night at Hardin and although it was close (0.21 to be exact), Michael managed to hold off the rest of the class for the win. Still have one more pull next weekend and a few things to do over the winter, but it feels good to be in the mix again.

Despite our finish, we will call this weekend a success. Friday night was our first pass down the track in 22 months, things didn’t go well, and Michael backed out of the run. We weren’t sure we were even going to pull on Saturday, but with the help of Brad and Brennan Begeman, Adrian Cox, Josh Hannah, and Brad Ingram, we were able to get things adjusted, make a full pass, and collect some data. We can’t thank those guys enough for all their help! Also, thank you to Rodney for always being a phone call away. Now to get ready for the ITPA season.

Michael Rogier and "Horseshoes & Hand Grenades" has caught a case of the blues the last two years at The Pullers Championship. Michael is hoping that the third time is the charm as he contends for a weekend championship May 17th and 18th at The Track at Holzhauers! We really hope the luck turns around for them as we want to see what this tough running tractor can do against some of the top competitors in the country!
