🌕 Only 3 weeks until the 14th Annual Full Moon Trail Run!

On September 26, join us at Lewis Park & Trails for a fun night run or walk under the full moon. With tiki torches lighting the trails and flashlights in hand, it’s a unique way to enjoy one of Springfield’s hidden gems.

The event is FREE, but registration is required and participation is limited to 200 people.

🌕🏃‍♀️ VOLUNTEERS NEEDED! 🏃🌕

The Full Moon Trail Run is on Saturday, September 26th and we’d love your help making this special night happen!

Whether you’re part of a local organization looking for service hours, a group that wants to volunteer together, or simply someone who enjoys being part of a great community event, we’d love to have you on the team!

Volunteer opportunities include:
• Course Marshals
• Registration & Check-In
• Tear Down

It’s a fun way to get involved, support local trails, and cheer on runners and walkers under the full moon. 🌕

**Local groups and students 13+ — service hours are available!**

🦅 Eagle Scout Project Completed – North Bridge Replacement! 🦅

A huge congratulations to Scout Jayden Brown from Troop 97 for the successful completion of his Eagle Scout North Bridge Replacement Project on September 25th, 2025! 👷‍♂️🌉

Thanks to Jayden’s leadership — and the hard work of his fellow Scouts, family, and volunteers — the new North Bridge is open and was able to be used for the Full Moon Trail Run 2025 presented by LRS! 🌕🚶‍♀️🏃

This new bridge not only improves safety and accessibility, but also stands as a lasting symbol of dedication, teamwork, and community pride here at Lewis Park & Trails. 🌲💪
