The Chatham Blaze Volleyball Club is now forming teams for 15U-18U girls and boys, and will be holding tryouts for competitive travel teams. We are welcoming all 9th - 12th graders from not only within the Ball Chatham School District but any other school districts as well to be a part of our competitive program.
Location: Salvation Army Gym, 1600 E. Clear Lake, Spfld
9th-12th grade girls & boys (15U-18U)
Tryouts Sunday, November 1 from 2:00-4:00pm

Club information
Season: November 2026 – Mid-March 2027.
Practices will be 2x per week on Sun & Tues at Salvation Army Gym
Estimated Player Costs (which excludes jersey if needed):
Team with Paid Coach – 5 tourneys and 20 practices = $700.00 per player
Team with Qualified Parent Coach – 5 tourneys and 20 practices=$450.00/player.
If a High School team does go to Nationals, there will be an additional expense per player to be determined.
Our goal is 10 players on each team.
Pre-register by 10/31 from the Chatham Blaze website www.chathamblazevbc.com and click on the Tryouts link. If your player plays other sports/conflicts, but would also like to play for Chatham Blaze, we do try to schedule tourneys around conflicts as much as possible. If your player cannot make the tryout date for their grade, please e-mail for an alternate tryout date. There is no fee to tryout.

The Chatham Blaze Volleyball Club will be offering a Volleyball Clinic for 7th-8th graders. This Clinic will be held at the Salvation Army Gym at 1600 E. Clear Lake in Springfield.
Registration: www.chathamblazevbc.com and click on the Fall Clinic for 7th-8th Grade Registration link.
Clinic will be offered on Sunday October 4, 2026 between 12:15pm and 1:45pm.
Registration fee - ​$15.00 per player
This clinic will have a 20 player limit. We are planning to utilize 2 courts, and will have 2 of our competitive Blaze coaches running drills/practice time on the courts. Coach Michael Jones and Coach Jessica Jefferson, who coached the Chatham Blaze 12U Black team last season and are returning to coach the 13U Black team this upcoming season, will be the coaches running the drills. We plan to have up to 10 players in a group on each court, and each group will spend about 45 minutes on each court. We reserve the right to alter the number of courts utilized based on the number of participants, but each group will get 1.5 hours of drills/practice time.

We are welcoming all 4th - 8th graders from not only within the Ball Chatham School District but any other school districts as well to be a part of our competitive program.

4th grade girls (10U)5:00-7:00pm on Fri 10/23/26
5th grade girls (11U) 5:00-7:00pm on Sun 10/18/26
6th grade girls (12U) 3:00-5:00pm on Sat 10/17/26.
7th grade girls (13U) 1:00-3:00pm on Sun 10/18/26
8th grade girls (14U) 3:00-5:00pm on Sun 10/18/26

Boys 4th-8th (10U-14U) 1:00-3:00pm on Sat 10/17/26
Club information
Season: November 2026 – May 2027.
Practices will be 2x per week most likely on Mondays & Tuesdays at Salvation Army Gym
Estimated Player Costs: Dependent on 1. How many tourneys the team plays in, 2. Whether the coach is a Paid Coach, 3. How many players are on the team, and 4. Whether they practice at SA gym or possibly their own gym. Range is between $375 and $975 per player depending on the factors cited above
Examples:
13U Black Team with Paid Coach – 6 tourneys including Nationals and 36+ practices = estimated cost is $975.00 per player
10U Red Team with Qualified Parent Coach – 4 tourneys, 2 Blaze Leagues, and practices are at their own gym= estimated cost is $375.00 per player
Our goal is 10 players on each team and the estimates above assume 10 players on a team. The above estimates also assume the team is JVA affiliation. If the team chooses USAV affiliation, the total cost is about $60 more per player.
