Team MACK’s Gary Dyer delivered an outstanding performance, finishing an impressive 7th in the 65-69 Gravel Nationals. The race, nearly 70 miles long, saw fierce competition, culminating with Tinker Juarez—legendary former National and World MTB Champion—taking the win.

Throughout much of the race, Gary stayed strong with the leaders, but in the last 15 miles, Tinker launched a powerful attack that splintered the pack into smaller groups. Despite that, Gary pushed hard in the final stretch, ending just seconds shy of 5th place.

MASTERS 50/60+
Team MACK started the final stage of the Gateway Cup with four riders. We initially began with ten riders overall, but Kevin Johnson, Dave Seward, tom Burridge and Ben Beger had to leave early due to family commitments, while Mark D’Anniballe and Dave Henderson had to withdraw because of injuries sustained during the earlier races. Both are now recovering at home.

The last race of the series at Florissant, MO kicked off at a blistering pace, with nonstop attacks. Masters 60+ riders David Jaggi, James Halpin, and Gary Dyer, along with Price Cooper in the 50+ category, held their own for most of the race.

Near the end, Jaggi, Halpin, and Dyer fell back from the lead group which included Price Cooper. In the final two laps, some riders launched attacks and broke away, to which Cooper responded by bridging the gap. However, Price couldn’t quite recover from his effort and fell back to the main pack. Still, he regained his composure and finished strong in 13th place. David Jaggi delivered an excellent performance, finishing 6th, with Halpin and Dyer also finishing well in 11th and 12th positions in the 60+ category.

A huge thank you to all our MACK Elite Masters who participated in the 2026 Gateway Cup. The team performed exceptionally well in this highly competitive series, which attracted some of America’s top master riders to St. Louis.

Giro Della Montagna

Team MACK showcased incredible resilience and strategy in the prestigious race through The Hill, a historic neighborhood just south of downtown St. Louis. Starting with six riders, they faced a fiercely competitive field of 50/60+ masters. We had Price Cooper and Ben Beger in the 50+ along with Tom Burridge, Gary Dyer, James Halpin, and David Jaggi competing in the 60+ category. The team worked diligently to mark the strongest opponents, aiming to create opportunities for a breakaway.
Despite the challenging, fast-paced race, filled with crashes and fierce competition from the country's top masters, they achieved impressive results, demonstrating their strength and teamwork. Details of the Giro race results are listed below.

Team MACK started 9 riders in the combined field of Masters 50/60+ in the second stage of the Gateway Cup. The heat and humidity again was high as well as the speed of this race. David Jaggi, David Henderson, James Halpin, Dave Seward, Kevin Johnson, Price Cooper, Ben Beger, Tom Burridge and Gary Dyer all stayed in the action throughout this very fast race. In the 50+ with 7 laps to go David Henderson bridged over to a 3-man break and gained about 30 seconds on the field. With two laps remaining the attacking started in both the break and the field. Henderson was caught by the surging field with haft a lap to go and was cooked after his effort. Price Cooper and Ben Beger came home 16th and 19th. In the 60+ Dave Jaggi finished a fine 8th, Dave Seward in 12th, Kevin Johnson 14th, James Halpin 15th followed by Gary Dyer and Tom Burridge 18th and 19th respectively. Please see results below.

2026 IL/WI State Road Championships
Belvidere, IL
8/30/2026

Team MACK represented strongly at the Illinois/Wisconsin State Road Championships, with four dedicated riders—Ben Beger (MO), Tom Burridge (KY), Gary Dyer (IL), and Dave Jaggi (IL)—taking on the 69-mile Masters race, which featured a mix of 40+, 50+, and 60+ riders totaling 84 competitors. The race started off incredibly fast, fueled by a brisk tailwind that pushed speeds over 30 mph as the riders headed north. Throughout the 3 lap race, the team stayed aggressive, with Burridge and Beger pushing forward to lead in the final miles, while Jaggi and Dyer waited in the wings for a sprint boost. As attacks flew in the last mile, Beger secured a solid 15th place in the 50+ category, while Jaggi, Burridge, and Dyer finished 8th, 10th, and 11th overall in the 60+ division. When removing non-Illinois riders from the results, Jaggi and Dyer finished remarkably strong in 5th and 6th respectively in the ILLINOIS State Championships.

Thanks Dean Gericke for write-up.

New team member Dean Gericke competed in the rain soaked Michigan State Crit Championships this past weekend. With the rain pounding down, and on a totally new course, expectations were high but uncertain.

After a clean start the masters group consisting of 55+ age groups settled in for their 40 minute race. The first prime sprint came at about 10 minutes in. Dean and another rider (younger age class) stayed on the gas knowing the field would probably ease after the sprint. The field did ease and that was the break the 2 riders needed and they got away.

Both riders took turns pulling for the next 30 minutes, clearing the field by over a minute. One other strong rider was chasing at 30 seconds, but got no closer.

In the end Dean finished the race WINNING the 60-64 age class. His 2nd Michigan state championship.
