We Will Never Forget

Today marks 25 years since September 11, 2001. We remember the lives lost, the heroes who ran toward danger, the families whose lives were forever changed, and a day that left an imprint on our entire nation.

For so many, the memories of that day are still incredibly vivid. Where you were. Who you were with. The moment you realized something was terribly wrong.

As we honor and remember today, we invite you to share: What do you remember about September 11, 2001?

🐝 STINGERS BATTLED TO THE VERY END!

The Stingers left it ALL on the field in the championship game! 💜⚽️ After finishing the game tied, the battle continued into PKs, where they tied again and forced sudden victory.

It took FOUR rounds of sudden victory to decide it, with the Stingers coming up just short of the championship, finishing second🥈.

These girls showed incredible effort, speed, heart, and GRIT from the first whistle to the very last kick. They fought for every ball and never stopped battling.

An incredible fight and a strong finish for our Stingers! Way to represent Sangamo! 💜🐝⚽️

It was HOT outside, but Coach Kelsey still found a way to keep practice cool! 😎🐝⚽️

Enter: “Don’t Get Caught in the Picture.” 📸😂

The Honey Bees were running, dodging, laughing, and getting plenty of conditioning in without the usual “time to run” feeling. Because let’s face it... somehow running is a whole lot more fun when you’re trying to escape a camera. 😂

Coach Kelsey does such a great job of finding that balance between helping these girls grow as players and making sure practices are filled with moments they genuinely enjoy.

They’re working hard, building endurance, laughing with their teammates, and making memories along the way.

And these smiles pretty much say it all. 💜🐝⚽️

In the same game, every single Honey Bee got a goal! These girls worked hard to create opportunities for each other, making sure every teammate got her chance to shine.
