Every entrepreneurial journey starts somewhere. For John Bledsoe, it started with an empty seat in a boat.

While fishing alone on Pomme de Terre Lake, John had a simple idea: What if there were an easier way for anglers to connect and fish together? That idea became Co-Angler, an app that's now helping thousands of people build real connections through the outdoors.

As John worked to turn his idea into a business, he connected with the Missouri SBDC at Missouri State University for guidance and participated in a code development program with Codefi to help bring his vision to life.

Today, Co-Angler has grown to more than 2,500 users and was recently featured by KY3 and Rural Missouri Magazine for its unique approach to connecting anglers and making the outdoors more accessible.
