It’s Welcoming Week at the YMCA of the Suncoast!

This week, we join YMCAs and communities across the country in celebrating the people, cultures and stories that make our communities stronger.

Welcoming Week brings neighbors together.

This year’s theme, “Stories We Share: The Courage to Connect,” reminds us that each of us has a story to tell and that taking the time to listen, connect and learn from one another can help create communities where everyone feels like they belong.

At the YMCA of the Suncoast, we believe our Y is where every neighbor belongs. Throughout Welcoming Week, we invite our members, staff and neighbors to celebrate the many backgrounds and experiences that make our community special.

Together, we can create a more welcoming community for all.

Today, the YMCA of the Suncoast joins communities across our nation in remembering the lives lost on September 11, 2001.

We honor the victims, the families forever impacted and the courageous first responders, service members and everyday heroes whose selfless acts of bravery inspired a nation.

As we reflect on this day, we are reminded of the strength that comes from unity, compassion and service to others. May we continue to carry these values forward by supporting our neighbors, strengthening our communities and caring for one another.

Today, we remember. We honor. We will never forget.
