After wallowing in whatever I have been feeling for the last day and a half I have finally boiled down to how Thankful I am for our Family and Employees have had the opportunity to serve the young Boys and Girls and old Boys and Girls for over 10 years by providing an environment where humans and horses could love each other and grow. It was our honor to watch the magic happen every day. Elle knew all of the owners and made up for my lack of people skills and I will always be grateful to her for that. I can’t turn the clock back on the last two days and force the Fire Department Bosses to apply a single resource to help us when the fire approached from the south. That being said I so much appreciate the crew that I was able to convince on Saturday night at 8:00pm to stop the fire from burning our last two barns. It took them about 15 minutes to save our last barns and I Thank them so much.

I just spoke with the owner of Broken Arrow Ranch down at Colbert. They have availability to take in any of our clients looking for a new home for their ponies. Please reach out to them. Thanks Elle

It’s now after 11pm, August 1st and it’s been a horrible day. Thankyou to all that helped today to rescue the horses from our stables at Pleasant Valley Stables and Event Center. Sadly with the quickly changing winds we ended up losing everything, the business and apartments are gone and our home, shop, everything. I’m not sure when we will get to pick through the rubble to see if anything is salvageable but we are all safe and have our dogs.
Most of the horses are at the show grounds but some were evacuated by horse community folks.

Our clients will all be looking for new boarding situations. If you can help or even have some temporary accommodation available please post here and we will try to get everyone situated asap.

This is the end of a Spokane staple in the horse community…. It’s a very sad day.
