People often say it feels like they just stepped out of a full body massage after a sound bath. It makes sense. The cells of the body love the vibrations and the brain loves the rest.
In an over stimulated world, come rest deeply and experience harmony is body, mind and spirit.

What are you doing to lower your cortisol? Have I asked you this? I’ve been asking myself this a lot lately. As summer naturally brings heat, these practices offer balance. Google it. Then come see me in an extra gentle yoga, somatic, or restorative yoga class. As always, my hope is that you take home practical ways to ease your every day.
And by the way, Google, 4-7-8 breath is not my go to for stress reduction, but otherwise, bravo!

Spent some time at Whitworth University last night with Master’s practicum students in the school counseling program. They learned somatic techniques to help their students, and themselves live with more ease.
I taught this class in the very hall where my daughter’s first college class took place and the campus was buzzing with activity. I couldn’t walk by this magnolia tree without soaking it all in and snapping a picture.
The field of Psychology has changed a lot in the 36 years since I earned my degree. I’m grateful for the practice of Somatics and Yoga, and how they weave together so beautifully.
