In our summer day camp discussion yesterday the point of focus was loyalty. We currently live ina ti.e and place where most individuals are loyal only to themselves. This has been evident in areas that have historically been considered bastions of loyalty (martial arts organisations, churches, athletic teams, marriages, etc.). People or groups that DO currently behave loyally seem to be the exceptio not the rule. It is critical to reinvigorate the concept and practice of loyalty to the upcoming generation.

Yesterday's topic at Iron Sharpens Iron summer day camp was "PERSERVERANCE". It is so very important in this day and age to teach our future adults that hard work over an extended period of time leads to big results. The quitter-mentality does nothing to prepare our future leaders the necessary skills to keep things running after we are gone. ATA martial arts recognizes this and emphasizes the importance of a can-do, will-do mentality in our curriculum, programs, and schools. We are "building the futures leaders one black belt at a time"!

This was yesterdays topic for discussion at Iron Sharpens Iron summer day camp. It was explained to the kids how their acts of kindness can have a wide positive effeect. It brightens the givers mood and outlook as well as the mood and outlook of the receiver. In fact, the brightened disposition of the receiver is often passed on to others that they interact with during the day. Enough of this can improve the whole day for everyone and literally have a positive effect on hundreds, e en thousands of people!
