What a WEEKEND for Team SL at the Cowtown Classic! We showed up in force with 23 students strong, all of which put in more time, effort, & intent into their training leading up to their big day!

One of the parts of competition we believe to be so valuable is learning how to win and what hard work it takes to be true martial artist but also and arguably more important, how to lose.

Now through either victory or through defeat, we celebrate ALL of our students & the work they put into being a better athlete and the growth in mindset that creates.

Have raised 226 State Champions, 155 District Champions (including PanAm & Euro), 61 World Champions
Received permission to test for 8th Degree Black Belt next year! (soon to be Chief Master Barrett!)

🥋 A HUGE congratulations to Quinn and Graham who were able to spin our Ticket Tornado prize with nearly 100 tickets! 🎉 What an awesome accomplishment!

We also want to take a moment to say THANK YOU to all of our incredible parents. Your support, encouragement, and involvement mean more to us than you know.

One of the greatest ways you can help our school continue to grow is simply by sharing what we do with the people you know. ❤️ Whether that’s telling a friend, sharing a post, inviting a family to class, or simply talking about your experience with us, your word-of-mouth makes a tremendous difference.

Mrs. Reed and I feel incredibly blessed to have the opportunity to share our God-given love and passion for helping kids grow into confident, respectful leaders with the amazing Southlake community. Leadership Is More Than Earning a Belt.

At Southlake ATA, we believe the most important things our students learn aren't just how to kick, punch, or earn their next belt—they're the life skills that help them become confident, respectful, responsible leaders.

Our Leadership Program takes those lessons a step further.

Students don't just hear about concepts like respect, confidence, discipline, responsibility, perseverance, and leadership. We take deeper dives into what these qualities actually look like in everyday life and, most importantly, how to put them into action.

We teach our students how to:
• Lead themselves before trying to lead others
• Make good decisions even when no one is watching
• Communicate with confidence and respect
• Take responsibility for their actions
• Handle challenges without giving up
• Become positive examples for the people around them

Because leadership isn't about being the loudest person in the room or being in charge.

Leadership is learning to control yourself, make good choices, serve others, and have the confidence to do what is right.

And we've seen firsthand how powerful this can be for our students. As they develop these skills, we watch their confidence grow, their maturity develop, and their ability to step up and lead begin to shine.

For the rest of this month, we're offering discounted enrollment into our Leadership Program for families who want to take advantage of this opportunity.
