The property has a large indoor ring directly attached to the barn, two large hunt fields with full courses, a dressage ring and a sand schooling ring. Access to acres and acres of vast trail riding and conditioning areas. MVEC has active show teams throughout the area.

As a fundraising effort to support Pumba’s recent medical vacation, I decided to host “Hakuna Matata Night” where riders could sign up for slots of time to have me ride their horse, demonstrate and explain the ride. It was wonderfully successful and so much fun. The night included 5 very different horses and they provided a great learning opportunity for everyone to hear as I narrated my ride. I love the fact that one of the biggest take aways from the evening is that an actual circle is possible 😂😂😂

Thank you so much to everyone who participated and donated to his medical fund. The margaritas, Mexican food and birthday cake to celebrate Lexi’s birthday today made it even better! I can’t wait for our second one next Friday night.

Over the years, I have found there tends to be one horse which truly shapes a rider and provides them the experience they need to move to the next level. I always say how much I owe these horses and credit them to helping make these riders. It’s an incredible process to be a part of. For Mary, I knew Jacoby would be that horse for her and am forever grateful to Jennifer Hill to entrusting him to us. A little misty rain didn’t stop these two from tackling their 3’3 gymnastic.

For someone who doesn’t sell horses, we’ve had four sold this summer 😂😂😂. Although I hate the process of having to sell horses, I absolutely love it when they find their right matches. It’s been such a busy summer I haven’t been able to properly congratulate everyone on their new horses! So congratulations everyone!!! After two long weeks, Pumba is home from his stay at Fairfield Equine and we are all so happy to have him back. In a horribly unlikely scenario, a case of cellulitis turned into a septic joint and a living nightmare. Fingers crossed he continues to heal without incident at home over the next few weeks. I’m forever grateful for everyone at Fairfield who helped save him and for my MVEC family and their continued support. Welcome home Pumba ❤️
