RIP Fr Sitz! Truly an amazing person!

Father Richard Sitzmann (91) died peacefully Sunday evening, September 6, 2026, at the Holy Spirit Retirement Home, Sioux City, IA.

Rosary: Holy Cross Parish, St. Michael Church [2223 Indian Hills Drive, Sioux City, IA, 51104] on Thursday, Sept. 10, 2026, at 4:00 PM.

Visitation: St. Michael Church, Thursday, Sept. 10, 2026, from 4:00 to 7:00 PM.

Vigil: St. Michael Church, Thursday, Sept. 10, 2026, at 6:00 PM.

Funeral: St. Michael Church Friday, Sept. 11, 2026, at 10:30 AM.

We implore your kindness, O God, for Father Sitzman, your servant and Priest, that, as you made him a steward of your mysteries on earth, so you may bring him to be nourished by their truth and reality as unveiled in heaven.
