I feel with the recent move & new opportunities I should introduce myself officially on the business page 🩷
Hi! I’m Teylah, and horses have been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. My journey began 22 years ago, when I was just two years old, sitting on my first horse. I started out riding Ponies & Arabians, and although my journey has taken me through many different breeds over the years, I have always found my way back to the show horse world.. and ultimately, back to my roots with Arabians.
I have spent years showing Morgans and Saddlebreds and have been incredibly fortunate to work alongside some amazing trainers and horsemen/women throughout my career. Every horse, trainer, show, and experience has taught me something that has helped shape the horsewoman and trainer I am today.
One of the most memorable moments in my career came in 2020, when I traveled to the Morgan Grand National. I was fortunate enough to take home Top Honors and Reserve Honors in my qualifying classes and place Top 5 in one of my championships. That experience gave me the confidence to continue pushing myself, learning, and building my own path within the industry.
Over the years, I continued working with trainers I admired, riding as many horses as I could, and soaking up every bit of knowledge and experience along the way. I truly believe that you never stop learning with horses, and that mindset is something I carry with me every day as a trainer.
In July 2025, I took one of the biggest leaps of my life and opened ✨TJS Equestrian.✨ What started as a lesson program quickly grew into something I could have only dreamed of. I was blessed with an incredible group of clients who believed in me and helped turn TJS into the community it is today.
One of the things I am most proud of is the environment we have created. TJS Equestrian is a drama-free, welcoming, and supportive barn where our focus is on the horses, our riders, and helping everyone grow. Watching my clients gain confidence, accomplish their goals, and fall more in love with horses has been one of the most rewarding parts of building this program.
Now, TJS Equestrian is entering an exciting new chapter. We have moved to our new location and are officially offering boarding and training in addition to our lesson program.
🩷🤍 And somehow, after all these years, I’ve found myself right back where it all started.. with Arabians. 🤍🩷
I am incredibly passionate about this breed and love showing people just how versatile, intelligent, athletic, willing & loyal Arabians can be. I want to help promote the breed, introduce more people to them, and give them the opportunity to shine in all the ways they are capable of.
My goal with TJS Equestrian has never been simply to run a barn. I want to create a place where horses are cared for, riders feel supported, and everyone has the opportunity to learn, grow, and chase their dreams.
I am so grateful for every horse, client, trainer, friend, and experience that has brought me to where I am today. This is only the beginning, and I cannot wait to see where this journey takes us next.
