We carry almost every major archery brand and usually have a selection from each one. So it is not surprising when someone needs a new bow that we have one or more in stock.

Trevor came in and upgraded from an Obsession to the Darton Tritec 33. Darton has been turning out amazing bows and we are a proud dealer.

Looks like Trevor got exactly what he was looking for. We thank and congratulate him on this fine setup and upgrade. We appreciate it!

Stephanie wants to get into archery. Nick, her boyfriend, had just the place in mind. So they stopped in with an older Diamond bow from Nick’s youth, but it did not fit Stephanie properly. Stephanie is rather tall. And furthermore, the restring cost would have been expensive relative to the value of the Diamond.

We aren’t relationship experts here at Michiana Archery, but we think couples who shoot together probably have a higher success rate. And we think that properly fitting equipment makes the experience all the more enjoyable.

So it’s no surprise that Stephanie got hooked up with a new bow! A much better long term choice for archery … and perhaps, the relationship!

We applaud Nick and Stephanie for their excellent choices. These two are a joy to work with. And the bow fits Stephanie amazingly well. We wish this couple every success and hope to see them back in the shop very soon. Congratulations and thank you!

Kenny is a long-time customer of the shop. He was tempted to wait but ultimately decided to trade in his Mathews V3 X on the new ARC 30. He seems pretty happy with the decision! Congratulations!

Cade is a regular. Maybe so regular that he is irregular. Either way, he is one of our 1776 buyers and he’s getting all the matching accessories! Here is the build. More coming soon… we hope. All the 1776 bows are sold. Congratulations to those who got them! And thank you to Cade for his continued support.

Arthur (right) celebrated his 25th birthday with us yesterday with his brother Duce and sister Dymond. Yes, there was an approved dress code involving Nirvana t-shirts. And Arthur went home with a new Hoyt recurve! Sounds like nirvana to us! We had a wonderful time with these guys. A little sibling rivalry goes well with archery and we hope to see everyone again soon! Happy Birthday, Arthur!

The dedication of our team is truly humbling. On a holiday weekend, when we were technically scheduled to be closed, John was in the shop tying up loose ends.

Lo and behold, Brian stopped in and traded in his old bow in for a new Mathews ARC.

Thanks to Brian, our holiday was just a bit brighter AND we trust his is also. Congratulations and Thank You!

Michiana Archery – Announcement of Planned Closure

On July 4, 2016, we marked the Grand Re-Opening of Michiana Archery under new leadership.

A decade later, on this same date, we are announcing the decision to close our current location no later than December 31, 2026 - potentially sooner depending on circumstances.

We are deeply grateful to our loyal customers and to everyone who has helped build Michiana Archery into what it is today.

A special “thank you” goes to our current team members, who have embodied the principles of “Unreasonable Hospitality”. They are amazing ambassadors for archery and demonstrate consistent dedication to our patrons every day.

Through that effort, Michiana Archery has grown into one of the premier archery shops, ranges, and learning centers in the country. We are the largest archery shop in Indiana and the home of the University of Notre Dame Archery Club.

We are especially proud of our contributions to adaptive archery, expanding access to the sport at every level, and improving archery instruction in this area.

Despite these accomplishments, continuing to operate and grow in our current facility is no longer viable. The investment required to bring this location in line with what Michiana Archery needs to continue advancing its mission is too significant. And the current structure and management of the property are not aligned with the long-term direction of our business.

To take Michiana Archery to the next level requires a space that is truly conducive to our mission.

After careful consideration, we have concluded that pursuing that path here is not practical. Frankly, if we can’t do it the way it should be done, it’s better to not do it at all.

Our mission remains unchanged: archery is for everyone—compound or recurve, traditional or modern, beginner or professional, youth or adult, recreational or competitive, hunter or target - a shop dedicated to serving its customers.

We welcome conversations with anyone who may have ideas for a future location or potential partnership.

We are profoundly grateful for the support of our community over the past decade.

Thank you.

Michael is a big guy who needed a bow to match. We happened to have a Mathews Atlas that did the trick. We wish Michael every success and thank him for choosing us! Congratulations!

Orion came in from Granger to pick up his first bow. We celebrate lots of archery firsts at Michiana and we love helping people get started on their archery journey. Thank you to Orion!

Despite the T-shirt, Joe did not come all the way fromTexas to get good service, but he did drive in from Bristol. Joe wants to give recurve a try and he was urged to come to us for the best service around. We think the smile says it all. Congratulations to Joe!
