We are looking for one final 13u player to join our group for next year. Any A/B catchers looking for a new home let me know. We are located in South Bend and have a very talented group of kids, great families, and we keep things inexpensive.

When you see the exit velo jump 8 MPH in one lesson you know your adjustments making an impact. With HitTrax our players can get immediate feedback on the changes they are making in their swings.

I said we would never have teams here, but I'm glad I changed my mind because these girls are going to be so fun to watch. Congrats to these young ladies for making a team that will soon become a family.

As hard as it is for an athlete to do, remind them of this. They are all on their own journey and don't compare their journey to anyone elses. The most rewarded athletes will celebrate each other's successes and lift each other up after failure.

I am so honored to add the two latest hat additions to the lineup in our facility. Without these two places I don't think we would have started what we did here.

Jeff Rinard ran Chasing a Dream on the Southside of South Bend when my oldest son was playing ball. He played on what, if I remember correctly, was the first travel team they had. Nick Harley and I spent a lot of time at Jeff's facility and some great memories and lessons were learned along the way. I remember Jeff telling me the baseball journey is a marathon not a sprint. That was one of the simplest, and yet profound, statements about the game I have ever heard and I find myself repeating it often.

Teddy Ballgames was started by Mike Branch not far from our facility and my youngest son was a member there and played the first year Mike started travel teams at his facility. It was at Teddy Ballgames that our tradition of playing ball at midnight on New Year's was born. Lucas and I were there at least six days a week when he was younger. He was a baseball addict and we loved spending time together at Teddy's as we called it.

These two men and their facilities helped create so many great memories for my family and countless others. I consider myself one of the lucky ones that I can now sit back and watch families create those same memories at the Clubhouse. Thanks Mike and Jeff for being an inspiration.

Thanks so much to Andrew Parnell and Chet Waggoner Youth Sports Complex for getting the field ready for us to use last night! With the amount of rain we had I was worried the tryout wouldn't happen. However, it was a beautiful night to watch a great group of girls play ball. Thanks so much to everyone that came out and played so hard and all of the coaches for helping with evaluations.
