Championship Sunday for our 13u team. These girls are 15-2 in their first two months together! They are a bunch of ballers and so much fun to watch. Way to go ladies!

Unfortunately, in travel baseball and softball it's the time of the year where the second season of free agency takes place. Parents, not kids normally, begin to feel uncomfortable with their child's spot on a team. They worry more about playing time in certain positions than the opportunity for growth by being challenged by the players in front of them at the moment. Don't look at the now. Look at the winter in front of you and ask what you can do in the next six months to get better and compete for that spot. Even if you don't win it, you have learned so many lessons about setting goals, hard work, failure, adversity and you have ultimately won. How have you won when you didn'tget the spot? Because youth sports is about learning all those things, not about what position or how much you play. If you have learned hard work, goal setting, teamwork, failure, and how to deal with setbacks you have learned exactly what I hope every player that comes out here learns. You are set up to compete at life and that is the goal!
