Congratulations to Harper Schmitt '28 on an outstanding performance at the USA Fencing Summer Nationals in Portland, Oregon!

Competing against some of the nation's top fencers across multiple age divisions, Harper earned impressive finishes throughout the week, highlighted by an 8th-place podium finish in Division 1A Women's Epee. With that performance, she earned her A26 rating, the highest rating a fencer can achieve. Harper also secured a Division 1 victory over Olympian Margarita Guzzi Vincenti, earning her a national Division 1 ranking while competing against the country's highest level of domestic competition.

Harper's results included:�• Junior Women's Epee (U20): 29th of 315�• Cadet Women's Epee (U17): 22nd of 262�• Division 1A Women's Epee: 8th of 120�• Division 1 Women's Epee: 63rd of 178�• Senior Team Women's Epee: 10th of 34 teams

Three local students return as national powerlifting champions SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- Three local students from Goshen and Concord are returning as national powerlifting champions, thanks in part to training and strength building with Griffin Sports and Performance.
