Twenty-Five years ago today, our nation experience a tragedy that forever changed America.
We remember the nearly 3,000 lives lost. We honor the first responders who ran toward danger, the heros who emerged in the hours and days followed, and the families who have carried the weight of that day for the last 25 years.
To our players, September 11th is history. It's an event that happened long before they were born. It is our responsibility to make sure they understand why this day matters and why we promised we would never forget.
Today we pause to remember, and we can look back on how baseball helped our nation heal in those early days.
