Today many of us will take the time to reminisce about the answer to the question Mr. Alan Jackson asked: "Where were you when the world stopped turning?"
We all know. It's a vivid memory that will never be forgotten.
For a lot of us it's mind boggling to believe it was actually 25 years ago.
As important as remembering 9-11 is, I think that now more than ever we need to remember 9-12...who were you then? Who was our nation then?
We were united. We were shell shocked but determined. We loved our country and had no patience for anyone who didn't respect our flag and our freedoms.
So what happened? Where did all of those 9-12 Americans go? Why can't we still be united and proud of the country we live in?
So go ahead... remember 9-11 and give it the honor and respect that it deserves but then go hug your family, stop by a church, greet your neighbor and go back to being the 9-12 American that swore they loved their country and all the freedoms it offers. 💜🇺🇸
