Coaching Bio - Dave Griffin has been fencing for over 56 years and teaching the sport for 50+ years. He coached collegiately at Clemson, SC and at the University of Maryland in College Park, MD. He is a USA Fencing professional coach. Salisbury Fencing Fall 2026 - Winter 2027 Schedule and Fees

The club temporarily closes during July and August of each year. Beginner Class Fees: $90 for 1-hour long classes held weekly over six weeks. All equipment provided. Minimum age 10 years or instructor permission. Class fee includes a fencing glove to keep! Epee Class Fees: $75 per month for 1-hour long class held twice weekly. Equipment provided for novices. Minimum age 9 years or instructor permission. Schedule

Beginner Classes scheduled per demand. Day of week and starting time may vary. Currently Youth class (10-17) is Weds at 6pm, and the Adult class (19+) is Weds at 7pm. Intermediate Epee on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 6pm-6:55pm

Competitive Epee on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 7pm-7:55pm

Children's Beginner classes (ages 8 & 9) scheduled per demand Tues OR Thus 5:15-6pm

Open Epee Bouting on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 7:45pm-8:30pm

Note to all competitive fencers: USA Fencing will adopt the FIE "No Yellow P-Card" rule on Oct 1st!

We hosted our first tournament of the season today. Eleven fencers took part. Here are the final 8. From right to left, all SFC unless noted: Alex Tran 8th, Jeremy Quan 7th, Miles Wagner (LIFC) 6th, Patrick King 5th, Alex Haglich 3rd-T, Mike DeLong (PENTA) 3rd-T, Noah Passarell 2nd, and Mason Catellier 1st. A special thanks to Perry Choi who made the trip over from NOVA and to Miles Wagner of LIFC, competing at our facility for the 1st time! Thanks to Dave Nemazie for a great job as a referee.
