Hello RC enthusiasts it’s Pit Dad. Last weekend wasDieHard RC‘s Expo in Monroe, WA. 109 driver along with 223 entries were there to battle it out. Alix ran both her Team Associated B74.2 13.5 and her B7 17.5 Stock Buggies Her 17.5 was good right off the bat. Unfortunately, we struggled with the Wheelier on Friday and through qualifying. She ended up qualifying P6 and P12.

Sunday was a good day of racing. After triple A main in 17.5, she finished P4 after a 3 way tie for 3rd. In 13.5 after double B mains Alix finished 2nd and P12 overall. This was her first big race since the Expo last year after taking almost a year off. It was great to see old and continue to make new friends.

There’s a bit of a story with the last couple of pictures. We or I should say Alix missed team pictures. She was added on afterwards. She missed team pictures because we were to busy visiting the goats that were part of the Expo. Anyone that know Alix, knows that she’s a huge animal lover.

We are looking forward to running more here locally and practicing a lot more. Thanks to everyone who has continued to support her.

Hello everyone, pit dad here. As many of you know. Alix hasn’t raced since May of 2024. It was time for a break to be a teenager and also enjoy her time with friends. After almost nine months, it was time to hit the reset button.

Last weekend we decided to go to Kevin Focht PDX RC Underground and compete at the NW Stock Championships. We arrived there Friday afternoon to get some laps in before Saturdays one day race. We both had some cob webs that we needed to shake off. Heading into Saturdays event, the main goal was to just have fun! That was one thing we both were struggling with. Me racing NHRA professionally for over 20 years has make me extremely competitive. It’s a good thing but with a hobby. It can also be a bad thing. Alix showed up rested and ready to go. Surprisingly, to the both of us. Once it was go time, she showed up. She ended up P2 in 13.5 and P6 in 17.5. By days end she finished on the podium in 13.5 and finished P5 in 17.5. Overall, the weekend was a huge success! The best part was getting back out there and seeing all the friends we’ve make over the years. Alix has some great battles with Justin E Hall, Dan Jeppesen, Mike Nguyen and Josh McCall. I think Alix owes Justin $20 for losing a bet. lol I can’t thank Ashon Bristol, Teegan Hornacek and Aaron Brooks enough for all the help they have given us. Congrats to Ash and Teegan for pretty much dominating both Stock classes. Congrats to all the racers who finished on the podium. The next stop is the Visionracing.net Invitational a month away followed by the Expo at DieHard RC in WA. Last but not least, thanks to everyone and her sponsors who have stuck with her during this break.

One last note… Please keep Gavin Dyche in your thoughts and prayers as he’s had a bad accident that has required multiple surgeries. Get well soon buddy!!!!
