Have you ever quietly decided something is no longer possible for you?
I see this happen so often with women in midlife.
We look at our age, our body, our energy, or how long it’s been since we’ve done something and think:
**“Probably not anymore.”**
Years ago, I interviewed Patti Shales Lefkos, who was almost 68 when a planned trip to Nepal suddenly became a trip she would have to take alone.
She was afraid.
But she didn’t let fear decide for her.
Most of us aren’t deciding whether to trek through Nepal. But we make smaller versions of that decision all the time.
And if we say **“probably not anymore”** often enough, it starts to feel like a fact.
So before you figure out the how, question the assumption.
**What if the first step is simply to stop deciding that you can’t?**
Maybe you could.
And if there’s something you want to do, but you’re not sure how to move from **“probably not anymore”** to **“maybe I can,”** reach out.
Send me a message and tell me what’s been getting in the way. Sometimes figuring out the next step starts with simply talking it through.
