Stop letting your opponents dominate transition. The fourth shot is the returning team’s opportunity to maintain their positional advantage.

If you want to level up your game, master this fourth shot playbook:

- Low ball: It can be too risky to force keeping your opponent back. Soften it up and drop the ball in front of your opponent to maintain neutrality in the point.
- Driven ball: Don’t panic about the pace of the ball. Shorten your swing and redirect your opponent’s pace back at them.
- Drop left high: Apply pressure to your opponent! Don’t try to win the point on that swing, but try to force an error. Aim at your opponent’s feet or into open space.
