This summer I discovered that Wednesdays are Latin Music Nights TikiJoesMeschutt.

I’ve been going each week in August and last night was another amazing, gorgeous evening of live Latin music and DANCING, DANCING, DANCING!

(Disclaimer: there are no photos of the dancing or me dancing because I was…well, dancing.😆)

What a beautiful afternoon Shelter Island Country Club raising funds for Shelter Island Ed Foundation —an amazing local organization that pursues and supports educational opportunities that broaden the horizons of Shelter Island’s students and community. My husband and I both benefited from this foundation while in school on the island and have been excited to give back these past few years.

(Also excited to win a handcrafted needlepoint basket and matching handmade mugs/saucers by the wonderful and talented Stephanie Needham and a gift certificate to one of our favorite restaurants Marias Kitchen !)

Last night I told my group class how I got caught driving my roofless Jeep Wrangler in the rainstorm last weekend, and one of my students created this awesome AI image.

I’d like to wish a Happy Father’s Day to my stepfather who has been in my life since I was four. He knew that my mother and I came as a “package deal” and he enthusiastically signed up.❤️ (maybe he just didn’t quite know what he was getting in to…🤣)
While he’s a self-proclaimed “non-dancer” he’s been at all of my dance showcases, community socials, and events, cheering from the sidelines. 🎉
Since I married another “non-dancer” my stepfather now always has a buddy to sit and chat with while my mom and I dance! 🤪❤️
