We go to different facilities in different states enjoying this sport. Dog Food.

🐀 What a Barn Hunt Weekend! 🐀
Friday and Saturday were definitely not our days—Saber NQ’d both days. But Sunday? She came back ready to work! 💪🐾

🏆 High in Class
🎉 Earned her RAT-O title!
And then there was Titan! ❤️ It’s been 6 YEARS since his last hunt, so we weren’t sure what to expect. His first run was an NQ, but he shook it off and came back strong, earning 2nd Place on his next run! 🐀🥈
I couldn’t be more proud of both of these dogs. They showed grit, drive, and heart—and that’s what it’s all about! ❤️🐾

💗💙 WOW… WHAT A DAY FOR SABER & I! 💙💗
Today we decided to try something completely different and entered a Detection Dog Trial just for fun. 🐾
Now, I’ll admit… I wasn’t expecting much! 😂 Saber and I had played around with Birch scent a few times last fall while she was pregnant, but we haven’t practiced it since. So going into today, I really just wanted to see what we could do.
What I didn't realize was just how much TEAMWORK this sport takes. The dog gets scored… but so does the human! 😳 It truly takes TWO to make it happen. ❤️
We started in Preliminary, and Saber absolutely blew me away!
🥈 2nd Place – Run #1
🥈 2nd Place – Run #2
After both the Preliminary and Novice groups were combined, the points were added together to determine the overall placements.
And then came the surprise…
🏆 RESERVE HIGH IN TRIAL – 2nd Place! 🏆
WHAT?!? 🤯❤️
And because of that finish, Saber & I have earned an invitation to the Championship in Utah in February 2027! 🏆🐾✈️
I couldn't be more proud of this girl. She continues to surprise me with what she can do, even when we haven't trained something in months.
Today wasn't about winning. It was about trying something new, having fun, trusting each other… and somehow we ended up here. 🥹❤️
Saber, you are one incredible dog.
And today reminded me once again…
