This year, we wanted our Summer Soar Awards Ceremony to feel different 🏆

Instead of simply celebrating the results, we gave our athletes the opportunity to share what they learned, how they grew, and what this summer meant to them 🧠

And the work showed 📈 Every training group made improvements across the board 👏🏾— from vertical jump and speed to ground contact time, relative strength, and mobility. Our athletes didn’t just put in the work this summer… they had the results to show for it 💪🏾

Great food, fellowship, community, and a chance to hear directly from the athletes themselves 💯

Special thank you to The Olive Branch Co. and Heartland Stream for helping us create a great experience for our athletes and families 🙌🏾

Sometimes it’s bigger than a shirt 🦍

At our Grand Opening, Nolan won an NLF raffle that included a hat and T-shirt. We didn’t have his size, and after a misprinted order and a long wait for the replacement, I was finally able to personally deliver it to him.

After I left, his dad told me Nolan came inside and said:

“I feel like I can do anything wearing this shirt.”

That made the wait worth it.

A simple reminder that the smallest moments can plant the biggest seeds. The shirt is just a shirt—but the joy, confidence, and purpose God can place behind it is what makes it special.

Thank you, Nolan, for being so patient. Keep believing you can do anything. 🙏🏾🦍

Talk about a FULL CIRCLE moment 💙❤️🤍

My wife and I got the opportunity to go support Taylor, an athlete I had the privilege of working with back in her younger youth days. Now, years later, we got to watch her step on the D1 court at KU as a freshman in an exhibition game against Creighton University #13 ranked team in the country—and she showed up and SHOWED OUT! 🔥🏐

Taylor is a great example for young athletes of what it means to stay the course. Keep working. Keep getting better. Learn to accept and maximize your role on a team before worrying about becoming the star ⭐️

The work you put in when you’re younger doesn’t always show up immediately. Sometimes it takes YEARS. But when you stay consistent, eventually you get the opportunity to see what all those reps were preparing you for 🙌🏾

Now Taylor standing at 6'3" is shining and creating her own path at Kansas Volleyball , and we couldn’t be more proud of you! Keep balling out, T! 💪🏾 Its always a good time seeing you and tour family Mike Stanley & Kim Carlin Stanley thanks for always being so kind and supportive 🙌🏾

A HUGE congratulations to one of our longtime NLF athletes, Libby Hotze, on officially making Varsity Volleyball at St. James Academy! 🎉

Libby, we know how much this moment means to you and how hard you’ve worked for it. After six years of training with NLF, seeing you accomplish a goal you’ve had for years makes us incredibly proud 🙌🏾

You’ve grown stronger, more confident, and more resilient through every season—and all of that work has paid off.

As you step into your senior season and your final year of high school volleyball, enjoy every moment. You earned this opportunity.

Team United 6/7 energy, competitiveness, and accountability in this group is unmatched.

As part of our Advanced Group, the expectation was higher. They were challenged to compete, lead, respond to adversity, and hold themselves to a higher standard.

They represent the NOW of NLF — athletes taking everything they’ve built and learning how to carry it into their sport, their teams, and their lives.
