What a day! If you fish enough, you’re bound to get rewarded with fish and moments that you remember for the rest of your life. This weekend me and my daughter were blessed with one of those moments! My daughter caught an absolute TANK of a redfish! I’ve held a lot of big reds and dare I say this was the biggest! Looking back at the picture and where she lands on the deck, she was all of 45” with an unpinched tail. I personally think she was all of 50” but since I didn’t get a true tape, I’ll be modest!

Anyone have a hookup on fish mounts? This most definitely has to be a Christmas present this year!

Portland owes me nothing! From hiking to wine tasting in the vineyards, this place has it all! The friendliest of folks, delicious food, support for women sports, and employee stores! Our time was well spent, the city was chill and had vibes I wasn’t expecting, the drivers were nice and the sunsets were epic.

I was thoroughly impressed by Portland and will be back… in the summer and on a particularly sunny weekend like this one! John

We’ve had tired days, we’ve had grumpy days, we’ve had sore days but today was the first time my daughter days she wished we didn’t have to do them.

But she did them anyway…. That’s the key. And peep the smile after completing them! Stoked about this challenge for us! Day 29 ✅

The water quality in Choctawhatchee Bay has been awful the last three weeks. This has sent us on adventures to find new water! While I don’t have as much time as I’d like, to scout and hone in on a pattern, I’m thoroughly enjoying this period of discovery! Its forced me to slowwww down, work the entire flat, look for every little clue that might help put the puzzle together!

Fishing is fun.
