🏆 So proud of Eliya! 🏆

This past Saturday, Eliya competed at the South Carolina Newbreed State Championship and put on a stellar performance, bringing home:

🥇🥇 Two Gold Medals
🥈 One Silver Medal

Results like this start long before tournament day. They come from the extra rounds when she's tired, from drilling the same technique again and again until it's hers, and from showing up ready to learn even on the tough days. Eliya put in that work, trusted her training, and it showed every time she stepped on the mat.

Three divisions, three podiums. She earned every one of them.

8 Kids vs. 645 From 179 Academies — We Still Made the Top 5

This past weekend, we took our team to the 2026 ADCC Nashville Open for the first time. 645 youth competitors. 179 schools from all over the country. And our 8 kids walked away with a #5 finish in the Youth Team rankings.

Eight kids. That's it. Going up against academies with rosters many times our size, and still finishing top 5.

We're proud of every one of them — not just for how they competed, but for showing up and representing Seymour BJJ on a stage we'd never been on before.

ADCC Nashville Open results are in — and what a weekend for Team Seymour BJJ. 🏆

Over 1,230 competitors stepped on the mats this weekend, including 645 kids — and our team went out and competed hard against all of it.

🥇 Coach Jon — 1st place, Advanced Master 3
🥇 Abi — 1st place, Adult Intermediate
🥉 Abi — 3rd place, Girls Advanced 15-17
🥇 Ryder — 1st place, 6 & Under Beginner
🥇 Travis — 1st place, 6 & Under Beginner
🥇 Ezra — 1st place, 7-8 Beginner
🥇 Aiden Rowland — 1st place, 7-8 Beginner
🥇 Aiden Mayo — 1st place, 9-10 Beginner
Ronan — 4 matches in a stacked Intermediate bracket, going 2-2
Gavin — Boys 13-14 Intermediate, battled two tough, experienced opponents
Mike — 5 matches in Adult Intermediate, going 3-2

This whole team should be proud — 10 competitors, multiple gold medals, and a coach who led by example on the podium. From our youngest beginners to Coach Jon taking first in Advanced Master 3, everyone who stepped up to compete against a field of 1,230+ athletes walked away better for it. Wins, losses, close calls — every match on that mat builds the toughness and skill that'll carry this team into the next tournament. Huge weekend for Seymour BJJ.

🥋 Big congrats to Sam on earning his first stripe on the white belt! 🎉

Sam's been training with us just over six months now, and the growth has been obvious every time he's on the mat. He stepped up and competed twice this year, and at his second tournament he took gold. 🥇

That kind of jump, from six months in to standing on top of the podium, doesn't happen by accident. It's a lot of showing up on days he didn't feel like it, and getting back on the mat after every rough round.

Proud to have Sam as part of the Adult Champs program. This is what showing up consistently looks like. 💪
