Commissioners voted in a first reading Monday to keep paying to run the Weedon Island and Shell Key preserves. They'll also keep the island's Cultural and Natural History Center open.

Here's another great kayak training opportunity coming up this fall at Lake Louisa State Park in Clermont. The 30-hour program culminates in an ACA Community Paddlesports Leader Certification.
