Why go custom? It's a question we get in the shop more than you'd think. And the question is valid. Why would you get a custom bike when there are genuinely excellent production bikes at every price point? We think it deserves a proper answer. So we're spending the some time going through it: materials, the process, the builders, what a custom bike actually looks like ten years in.
First installment of the series is live now. Worth a read if this has ever crossed your mind. Link in bio!

The CBS + We Ride Why Obliteride team is heading out for a 50-mile social training ride and anyone is welcome to join. This isn't a race. It's a good reason to get fifty miles in with a group of people who care about an important cause. Whether you're on the team, thinking about riding Obliteride, or just want a solid day in the saddle, come out!
July 11th starting at 10:30 AM from CBS. Information on the route is on our Strava Group Ride page, linked in our bio.

We could just tell everyone they need a fitting. But that's not really how we operate. Swipe through for the honest breakdown on when a bike fitting may be a right next step for you.

New at the shop: Mosaic!
Mosaic isn't a brand chasing trends. It's a small team in Boulder, Colorado building titanium and steel frames by hand, the way it's been done for decades, with the kind of attention to detail that's hard to find anymore. Tube selection isn't an afterthought here; it's matched to the rider, accounting for weight, power, and riding style before a single weld happens.
The result is a bike that rides exactly right and lasts essentially forever. Titanium ages better than almost anything else on two wheels.
Stock or custom, this is the kind of brand worth getting to know. Happy to be working with Mosaic! More to come!

Not every job comes with this. We get to spend our days surrounded by people who genuinely love riding. Who walk through that door excited about a new bike, a new route, a tune-up before a big event, or just to talk about cycling. That energy is contagious and we don't take it for granted. Thanks for making this place what it is.

We've seen our fair share of gorgeous rides in the PNW but we know there's always more we haven't discovered. Comment down below your favorite ride in the PNW. We're hoping to put together a list of rides that shouldn't be missed for the riders who want to see it all.

Two upgrades most urban riders aren't thinking about. Your computer & your glasses.
Pulling your phone out mid-ride is a distraction problem, not a convenience problem. The Garmin Edge 1050 and Hammerhead Karoo both handle turn-by-turn navigation, pair with the Varia radar, and keep your eyes where they belong.
Your sunglasses. Scratched lenses reduce visibility more than people realize, and glasses that don't fit right are a hazard if you go down. KOO makes lenses specifically engineered for cycling optics. They're high contrast, have a wide field of view, and photochromic options that adjust as you move from shade to full sun. Both will be at the safety table at our event on June 25th at 5PM at CBS.
