✨Coach Spotlight ✨

Get to know our coaches, hear their insights, and learn what makes them such an important part of our community.

Meet Coach Alex (him/he)! Here’s a little bit about him in his own words:

I grew up in New Jersey playing hockey, lacrosse, and snowboarding. After college, I began functional fitness workouts and had an amazing community and coaches who taught me skills and lifts I had no experience with. After two short years, I got the opportunity to coach part time. I fell in love with the feeling of paying forward the knowledge I had gained and helping others on their fitness journeys. I eventually changed careers to become a full time coach and have never looked back.

My motivation as a coach stems from athletes trusting me with their training and my ability to help them reach their goals. I love being able to share the joy athletes experience, whether it’s hitting a new weightlifting personal record, recovering from injury, feeling better playing with their kids, or being able to enjoy their hobbies more.

My ideal workout would include: squat cleans, rope climbs, box jumps, and double unders.

Outside the gym, I enjoy snowboarding, hiking, camping, ice hockey, trail running, and spending time with my partner and dog.

A really cool experience I’ve had is that in 2021, It took me 140 days to thru-hike the 2,192 mile Appalachian Trail from Georgia to Maine.

Certifications: NSCA Strength and Conditioning Specialist:(CSCS), CrossFit Level 2, Rehab Method Certification

🌈 Polaris Pride Workout Recap 🌈

Over 50 people came together for an incredible morning of movement, community, and celebration! Between all the donations for Lambert House, an overflowing snack table, and rainbows everywhere you looked, the Pride Community Workout was so much fun!

One of the best parts of the day was watching parents and kiddos tackle the family workout together. From plank stacks to star jumps and plenty of laughs, it was amazing to see everyone moving, cheering each other on, and having fun together.

Thank you to everyone who joined us, donated, volunteered, and helped create such a welcoming, colorful, and inclusive event. We can’t wait to do it again. ❤️🏳️‍🌈
