Being able to maintain is almost more important than being able to build or cut. Here’s why 👇🏼
You’re going to go through different season of life. Because that’s what life does…it changes.
Mine included getting pregnant with complications that cut off my ability to lift safely during the second half of my pregnancy and a much longer recovery after giving birth.
I couldn’t control any of that. But what could I control?
I walked as much as my body would allow me to (it kept me sane without being able to lift). The KEY to maintenance. Movement.
I did at home workouts with bands (okay with my doc if I took it easy) even though I desperately wanted to do more.
I kept my protein up and followed my hunger and fullness cues to gain enough during pregnancy (you know, growing another human) and support my baby postpartum while breastfeeding (this hunger is REAL).
Maintenance throughout this crazy year and a half has enabled me to start much much MUCH higher than ground zero when I was finally able to start building again. That’s a long time to maintain the work I put it pre-pregnancy.
But I worked my ass off to build as much muscle and the most solid foundation I possibly could, knowing this was coming up in my future.
I could have absolutely just said “fxck it” and stopped trying, then started completely over when I was able to.
But I didn’t. And I’m so grateful for past Hayley for not giving up, even when I was super limited with things out of my control.
If you want to be able to build a foundation so solid that a year and a half outside of the gym doesn’t force you to start over, I’m opening up more spots in Daily Hayley in August where we teach you exactly how to do that…and just so much more.
(And yes, I’m pre/post-natal certified)

Another hike in the memory bank ✅⛰️
Trying out a new shoulder carrier, happened to be on the hottest day of the year so far. 🤪🥵
The only reason this is possible?
My work in the gym. Strategically training for hikes like these with a 20lb baby on my shoulders who likes to lean as far forward as possible to not miss a thing 😜
So she can join in on the joy and the adventure even as she grows. 💁🏼♀️
I’ve helped my clients be able to do the same thing whether it’s a heavy backpack for long trips or a kid on their back/shoulders 💪🏼
If you want this amount of confidence out on the mountain (with or without a kid), I’d love to chat.

Here for ya 🤘🏼
It’s been…one year since I got a lift in an actual gym.
Today…it was like being welcomed home and felt so good. 🥰
Some real talk.
I was going strong until complications in my pregnancy ended with a surgery that cut off any lifting of any sort last summer. Rehabbing and recovering postpartum also came with complications that delayed “getting back to it.”
Was this a challenging year? Absolutely. Especially if y’all know me and how much joy I get from lifting.
Would I do it again? Hell yeah. My daughter is so kick ass and I love her so fxcking much. Not even 1% of me regrets a thing.
Am I worried I can’t get back to where I was? Nope. I know exactly what to do in exactly the right order to safely return to my stronger body.
Other good news? I did everything in my power to maintain what I built before having Indy so I’m not starting from ground zero.
I’ve done this before. Rebuild. Twice. But those were knee injuries. Pregnancy with complications is a whole other beast.
I’ve definitely lost muscle and weigh less than I have since high school, but I’m confident in knowing how to get it back. And now I have even more experience and knowledge to help other women who are going through or have gone through similar things.
Let’s build again, baby! 💪🏼 (while continuing to keep an eye on contraindications for safe progress 😜)
✨Show some love if you’ve ever had to rebuild too✨
Pro tip: have a kid (or borrow one…LEGALLY PLEASE 😜) to slow down your eating.
Eating slowly and mindfully is the first skill all of my clients work on.
It’s THE key to any progress with your nutrition and what makes it stick.
So find what helps you the most.
-talking to a friend or partner
-food in mouth, fork on plate
-be the last person to finish their meal at the table
-eat without distractions
-have or borrow a baby 💁🏼♀️
Slow down and watch what happens with your bloating, digestion and fullness cues.
Seems too simple? Try it and come back to me. 🤘🏼
Sometimes…in order to move forward, you have to go backwards first. 🤘🏼
The right sequence is necessary for any long term goal. Without the right order, you’re delaying the long term progress you’re working towards.
Sometimes that means taking a step back…
👉🏼pausing lifting and retraining your pelvic floor and deep core
👉🏼creating a blank slate to learn the right nutrition for YOUR body that is sustainable
👉🏼building your body FIRST before trying another cut to get leaner
Is it “slower?”
Maybe in the short run.
But it’s better than skipping steps and ending up further back than you started before accepting the right step by step sequence.
Delayed gratification is one of the hardest things to conquer.
It’s the small things that stack up to massive results.
And the STACK is what lasts.
Not one big piece that you have to knock down at some point anyways.
✨Don’t know the right sequence to your goals? Let’s have a chat and I’ll tell you what to focus on first. ONE thing. Get that down, THEN add the next.✨
You know where to find me if you need directions.
You’re not the woman who says no to the trip. 🙅🏼♀️
Or skips the hike because your body can’t keep up.
You’re the one who lifts.
Who shows up.
Who wants to feel strong, capable, and actually enjoy your life. 🙌🏼
And yes👉🏼you still want to eat the pizza without overthinking it.
That’s not unrealistic.
It just requires the right system.
That’s exactly what this workshop is about. 👇🏼

Most programs don’t fail because they’re bad.
They fail because they’re out of order.
You’re trying to build on top of gaps that were never addressed.
So you hit a plateau…
or something starts hurting…
or life throws you off…
👉🏼and everything falls apart. 🤦🏼♀️
It’s not that you need more effort.
You need the right sequence.
That’s one of the biggest things I teach in this workshop. 👇🏼

The scale went up. 👆🏼
But her body looked completely different.
More muscle. Less fat. Better shape. 💪🏼
And she didn’t have to obsess over every bite to get there. 🚫
Because when you build muscle the right way, your body composition shifts
👉🏼even if the scale doesn’t say what you expect.
That’s where most women get it wrong.
They chase the wrong metric.
I break down how to actually measure progress inside the workshop. 👇🏼

Kelsey lived in a body that couldn’t keep up with her life for 17 years.
Not because she didn’t try👉🏼but because nothing actually stuck.
She did the programs. The rehab. The workouts.
She’d make progress…then end up right back where she started. 🤦🏼♀️
Once we changed how she was training➡️everything shifted.
Six months later, she’s lifting, hiking, moving…
pain-free. 🤘🏼
That’s the difference the right system makes.
I’ll show you exactly how inside the workshop.👇🏼

There are a few very specific reasons your results stopped matching your effort.
And most women never get told what they are.
So they keep adjusting the same things…
-eat less
-move more
-try a new program.
And end up right back where they started. 🤦🏼♀️
Because the issue isn’t effort👉🏼it’s the approach.
Once you see the actual problem, the solution becomes a lot simpler.
I’m breaking all 3 down in the workshop.
