The midpoint for this ride has tons of awesome overnight, sleeping arrangements, and this may be our favorite one.

Cascade Bicycle Club
Cascade Bicycle Club, the nation’s largest statewide bicycle nonprofit, serves bike riders of all ages and abilities throughout the state of Washington.
Club history
United by a love of bicycling, in 1970 a small group of bike riders founded Cascade Bicycle Club. Focusing on exceptional opportunities to ride and transforming the region through bicycling, two early successes were Chilly Hilly and the Burke-Gilman Trail. Here’s a little recap of day 1 of this year’s Seattle to Portland Bicycle Classic presented by
Participants rolled out of UW, and quickly found themselves at the rest stop where there were meatballs, donuts, and the regular snacks (found at most restaurants stops). The next rest stop was at Kalles Junior High in Puyallup, where was hard at work alongside busy volunteers. Shout out to the person with the mic at the school, you were so cool. Then comes Spanaway Middle School, the official lunch stop. The DJ here is wicked fun, and riders got to enjoy some free ice cream, too. hosted the next rest stop, then came the Ranier stop, hosted by Ranier Pack 9307 Cub Scouts. The Tenino rest stop breaks up the bit of the route along the trail, and they have awesome watermelon.
Day 1 finishes at Centralia College where tents pop up all along the green grass, in between sponsors and community partners ( just to name a few). Riders have a meal and shower, and rest here to finish the last 106 miles, on day 2.
On July 11, 6400 people and their friends and families gathered at UW, to kick off the 2026 Seattle to Portland Bicycle Classic.
Participants dropped off their luggage, got last minute mechanic work done, and hit the road with the sunrise.

Pickles and pickle juice are without a doubt the most popular food and beverage on our bicycle rides. Pickle juice is great for hydration and longevity on the bike.
This year for the Seattle to Portland Bicycle Classic presented by Alaska Airlines we have partnered with none other than a local pickling celebrity The Pickled Chef
Mahogany will be making pickle juice for all 4 major rest stops along the STP route in a regular version and a spicy version!
Our taste testers and many off-camera reviewers loved the spicy pickle juice! Not too much heat, but a noticeable kick that’s very zesty and absolutely refreshing.
See you this weekend at STP!
