The Donald Byrd Workshop (July 20–24) is your opportunity to train directly with Spectrum Dance Theater's Artistic Director through an immersive week of technique, repertory, and creative process.

We're also looking for new dancers to join our 2026/27 Company. Dancers interested in auditioning are encouraged to attend the workshop before the Company Audition on Saturday, July 25 (12:00–3:00 PM).

Seeking professional dancers for full-time employment.

Spectrum Dance Theater is seeking technically accomplished, collaborative dancers to join the 2026/27 Company.

The Company Audition will take place Saturday, July 25, and will include a ballet barre followed by Donald Byrd technique and repertory. Full-time contracts include weekly salary and touring opportunities, with relocation to Seattle required for the duration of the season.

Dancers interested in joining the Company are strongly encouraged to participate in the Donald Byrd Workshop (July 20–24), an immersive week of training and creative process that leads directly into the audition experience.

This July, the Donald Byrd Workshop invites dancers ages 16+ to train directly with Spectrum Dance Theater Artistic Director Donald Byrd during an immersive week of technique, creative process, and repertory.

Registration simplified—interested dancers can now enroll directly through our Dance Studio Pro portal.

We at Spectrum Dance Theater believe that financial circumstances shouldn't prevent dedicated artists from accessing high-quality training. If cost is a concern, limited financial assistance is available. To be considered, visit our website for details and submit your information along with a letter of recommendation from a current or former dance instructor to School Director, Stephanie Guiland.

Whether you're an emerging artist, a pre-professional dancer, or simply looking to deepen your contemporary practice, this workshop offers a rare opportunity to work alongside fellow dedicated dancers while learning from an internationally recognized choreographer with more than 40 years of artistic leadership.

Keep your dancer moving all summer with ballet, jazz, and more in a welcoming, encouraging environment designed for growing artists.

And that's just the beginning! Throughout July we'll also welcome dancers for our Summer Intensive, Dance Samples, Musical Theater Camp, Drama Dance Camp, Hip-Hop, and additional weekend classes.
