✨JULY MEMBER APPRECIATION: Marina L✨
Marina (aka sunshine embodied) always brings a bright energy into the gym 🔆 She’s been a member at SSP West Seattle for just over 7 months but you’d think she’d been here forever! We remember her very first day coming in and introducing herself to everyone - you never would’ve known it was her first day!
We love having Marina in the gym because no matter how tough the movement is, it’s like the corners of her mouth are permanently turned upwards 🙂 and because she’s always up for jamming to Harry Styles 🪩
When we asked her about her time with us so far she said:
“I joined SSP West Seattle in December of 2025 and in January of 2026 I found out I was expecting my first baby! It was a plot twist for my year, and I am so grateful to have found this community during this pregnancy. I have worked out 2-3 times a week since I found out I was pregnant. The consistency I’ve had this year with strength training has helped me so much with my mental health and I know it has made me well prepared for labor. The people who come here and the trainers are the sweetest and most supportive group - it makes getting to the gym the best part of my days and week. I truly look forward to my workouts. Thank you to the team at SSP West Seattle - I can’t wait to get back to the gym postpartum!”
We feel so lucky to be a part of your exciting adventure/plot twist Marina! We’re so honored to be trusted with your strength training both during pregnancy and beyond 💕

There’s a few things we do differently at SSP😉
But they’re all for the same mission: to bring inclusive and safe strength training to as many people as possible!
Every one of these decisions was made with intention and to make sure that all feel welcome in our gyms!
