We enjoyed a presentation by Emmett Hoffman at a recent club luncheon. We sponsored Emmett's participation in RYLA--the Rotary Youth Leadership Awards program--this year. He's definitely going places!

Last Sunday, volunteers from Rotary Club of West Seattle and Chief Seattle Council, Scouting America's Troop 282 harvested dozens of fruit trees in the neighborhood, in support of us and White Center Food Bank. There will be a second gleaning day this year, coming up on Sunday, 9/13. Register your trees by Tuesday, September 1st to get harvested and have the collected produce help keep our community nourished! https://bit.ly/4xdAHhg

Last Tuesday evening we enjoyed a beautiful evening at a picnic shelter on the beach at Lincoln Park. Kicking back and relaxing with good food was a great way to celebrate a whirlwind of Rotary activities this summer!

On Sunday 8/16, Rotarians and Chief Seattle Council, Scouting America harvested fruit from trees and vines across West Seattle and transported the produce to the food bank! We're thankful for Troop 282 Scouts for their involvement and for dozens of West Seattle neighbors who stepped up to support the West Seattle Food Bank and White Center Food Bank with fruit that might otherwise have gone to waste. *** We have a second gleaning day on Sunday 9/13.
